VOSKHOD

At the end of 2013, the international holding Yildirim Holding invested its own financial resources in the mining industry of Kazakhstan, acquiring the Voskhod chrome ore deposit in Khromtau, Aktobe region, working in parallel with the Eurasian Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and UniCredit Bank regarding the investment restructuring through the external sources.

As a result of the deposit assessment, taking into account the international requirements to preserve the region’s ecology and staff health, to conduct and ensure the organization of work, as well as all technical and legal assessments, including those related to taxation, the above financial institutions ultimately decided to cooperate with Yildirim Holding on the issue of refinancing the investments.

Voskhod supplies the chrome ore concentrates to the low-carbon ferrochrome manufactures (LC FeCr), the chrome metal manufactures and the chrome chemistry manufacturers. The company also supplies the raw materials for another subsidiary of Yılmaden Holding - Tikhvin Ferroalloy Plant in Russia.

Currently, the Voskhod's annual chrome ore production is 1.3 million tons.
