Vargön Alloys is one of the oldest ferroalloys producers in the world, established in 1874 in Vargön, Sweden. The company accumulated close to 150 years of experience and know-how.
YILDIRIM Group acquired the factory in 2008 as the first international acquisition. Following its acquisition, large-scale modernization investments took place in the plant. Vargön Alloys boasts 4 semi-closed type arc furnaces. One of the furnaces is amongst the largest in the world with 105 MVA of installed capacity. Vargön Alloys’ marketing and sales departments jointly act with Yılmaden Holding’s shared strategy. In this regard, Yılmaden creates alternatives in production, suitable to various customer demands. The proximity of Vargön Alloys to Swedish ports, and easy access to highways create a logistical advantage for the company.
Products can be delivered to customers and warehouses in a rapid fashion by the efficient transportation network.
